PRIMARY CARE SERVICES

Preventive Care, Wellness & Medicare Visits

Preventive care helps identify health concerns early and supports lifelong health. At Libertas Family Medicine, we work with you to understand your health goals, identify opportunities to prevent illness, and create a personalized care plan.

Sick Visits & Same-Day Care

When you are ill, getting timely care matters. At Libertas Family Medicine, we do our best to accommodate same-day needs and walk-in appointments whenever possible. If you are unsure whether you need an appointment, please call our office and we will help guide you to the best option for your care.

We evaluate and treat many common acute concerns, including:

Women's Health

At Libertas Family Medicine, we provide personalized women's healthcare throughout many stages of life. Prenatal Care

At Libertas Family Medicine, we provide prenatal care for uncomplicated, low-risk pregnancies, supporting patients through pregnancy with personalized, compassionate care. We believe pregnancy care is a partnership, and we work with you to support a healthy pregnancy while respecting your goals, preferences, and birth plans.

  • Initial pregnancy visits

  • Routine prenatal visits and monitoring

  • Prenatal labs and recommended screenings

As a family medicine practice, we are also able to provide continuity of care beyond pregnancy. If your family desires, Dr. Wesenberg is happy to continue caring for you after delivery and provide newborn care for your baby, allowing your family to have a trusted physician from pregnancy through childhood and beyond.

Pediatric Care

Family medicine means caring for the whole family — from newborns and children to parents and grandparents. At Libertas Family Medicine, we provide personalized pediatric care focused on supporting your child’s health, development, and well-being.

At Libertas Family Medicine, we believe families deserve the information they need to make informed healthcare decisions. We discuss recommended vaccines, answer questions, and partner with families to determine the vaccination plan that best fits their child and family.

Chronic Disease Management

We work with patients to manage ongoing health conditions through personalized treatment plans and regular follow-up.

Diabetes Care & Management

Diabetes management is an important part of our practice. At Libertas Family Medicine, we partner with patients to develop individualized diabetes care plans focused on improving health, preventing complications, and helping you feel confident managing your condition.

Telehealth Visits
Telehealth visits are available for many behavioral health appointments. To schedule a telehealth visit, please contact our nursing team at 320-412-1310. (Telehealth appointments are not currently available through online scheduling, but you can learn more about our Telehealth Visit options here)

DIAGNOSTIC TESTING &
LABORATORY SERVICES

At Libertas Family Medicine, we provide convenient diagnostic testing, laboratory services, and follow-up care to help you better understand your health and make informed decisions about your care. Our goal is to make the testing process as simple and convenient as possible.

In-Office Laboratory Services

Routine laboratory testing and blood draws can be completed right here at Libertas Family Medicine—no need to make an extra trip to another facility for your blood work. Specimens are sent to St. Cloud Hospital for processing, and results are generally available by the next business day.

 

Services include:

  • Routine blood draws

  • Preventive laboratory testing

  • Diagnostic laboratory testing

  • Review and discussion of laboratory results

  • Follow-up recommendations and care planning

Point-of-Care Testing

Many common tests can be performed right in our office, allowing for timely diagnosis and treatment.

Examples include:

  • Rapid strep testing

  • Influenza testing

  • Pregnancy testing

  • Urinary tract infection (UTI) testing

  • COVID-19 testing (when available)

  • RSV testing (when appropriate)

  • Other in-office diagnostic testing

Imaging Orders & Care Coordination

When imaging studies are needed—including X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, ultrasounds, mammograms, or bone density (DEXA) scans—we will discuss your options and send your order to the imaging facility of your choice. Whether you prefer a local hospital or another imaging center, we are happy to coordinate your care where it works best for you.

Convenient Follow-up

Understanding your test results is just as important as obtaining them. We take the time to review your results, answer your questions, and discuss the next steps in your care.

When appropriate, telehealth visits may be available to review laboratory or imaging results and discuss treatment plans without requiring an in-office visit. Learn more, here, on our Telehealth Visits page.

IN-OFFICE PROCEDURES

Many common procedures can be performed conveniently at Libertas Family Medicine, allowing you to receive treatment without the need for an additional specialist appointment whenever appropriate.

 

Procedures include:

  • Laceration repair (stitches)

  • Suture and staple removal

  • Abscess incision and drainage (I&D) when appropriate

  • Tick and splinter/foreign body removal

  • Earwax (cerumen) removal using irrigation or manual removal when appropriate

  • Joint and bursa injections, including the knee, shoulder, and trochanteric bursa

  • Partial ingrown toenail removal and treatment

  • Skin lesion evaluation and treatment

  • Skin biopsies, including shave, punch, and excisional biopsies

  • Removal of moles, skin tags, and other benign skin lesions

  • Removal of epidermoid (sebaceous) cysts and selected lipomas when appropriate

  • Evaluation and treatment of warts, actinic keratoses (AKs), and other common skin conditions

  • Mirena® IUD placement and removal

  • Nexplanon® placement and removal

  • Other minor office procedures

 

Whenever appropriate, our goal is to provide as much of your care as possible in one convenient location, helping you avoid unnecessary referrals while maintaining high-quality, personalized care.

ADDITIONAL TESTING &
PERSONALIZED HEALTHCARE OPTIONS

At Libertas Family Medicine, we believe patients deserve access to a variety of diagnostic tools and screening options. When appropriate, we offer additional testing that can help personalize your care and support informed healthcare decisions.

GeneSight® Pharmacogenomic Testing

For some patients, especially those who have struggled to find an effective medication for depression, anxiety, ADHD, or other mental health conditions, GeneSight® testing may provide additional information about how your genetics may influence your response to certain medications. This test is one tool that may help guide medication discussions as part of a personalized treatment plan.

Home Sleep Apnea Testing

Sleep apnea is common and often goes undiagnosed. We offer convenient home sleep apnea testing for patients who may be experiencing symptoms such as:

  • Loud snoring

  • Excessive daytime sleepiness

  • Witnessed pauses in breathing during sleep

  • Morning headaches

  • Poor sleep quality

Home testing allows many patients to be evaluated from the comfort of their own home.
