Meet Dr Jennifer Wesenberg

Dr. Jennifer Wesenberg grew up in southern Minnesota and made Little Falls her home in 2013 after completing her Family Medicine Residency. She and her husband, Nathan—a lifelong Little Falls resident—are now raising their three daughters and a lively crew of pets on the outskirts of town. With deep local roots and a strong sense of connection, Dr. Wesenberg is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care to families throughout Central Minnesota.
Dr. Jennifer Wesenberg earned her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University in 2006. She went on to receive her Doctor of Osteopathy from A.T. Still University’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, graduating in 2010. Dr. Wesenberg completed her Family Medicine Residency through the University of Minnesota at St. Cloud Hospital, where she became board certified and received comprehensive training in patient-centered, community-based care.
Dr. Jennifer Wesenberg began her medical career in Little Falls, where she practiced full-spectrum family medicine from 2013 to 2020. During her time in both Little Falls and St. Cloud, she provided care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including obstetrics. From 2021 to 2024, she worked locum tenens across in Worthington, MN. While she no longer delivered babies during that time, she continued to provide compassionate prenatal care in addition to full-spectrum outpatient primary care.
Throughout her career, Dr. Wesenberg has been guided by the voices of her patients—many of whom shared that they felt truly heard and respected under her care. She was often told she was the only doctor who really listened, or the first they felt comfortable seeing. Inspired by those relationships, she began building her own private practice, rooted in the belief that medicine should be personal, thoughtful, and deeply connected to the community.

Libertas Family Medicine is an independent, outpatient family medicine practice dedicated to providing personalized care for patients of all ages. Dr Wesenberg's services include annual physicals, chronic health management (such as high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid conditions, weight concerns, and depression, etc), well-child visits, birth control counseling and management, and low-risk prenatal care during the first and second trimesters. She also offers urgent and acute care, along with simple in-office procedures like stitches and skin treatments.
A key component of Dr. Wesenberg’s approach is patient autonomy—she believes in giving each patient the information and support they need to make informed, educated decisions about their own health. Her practice is built on listening, trust, and empowering patients to be active partners in their care.
